We’re excited to introduce the Overeem ‘Beer Cask Series’ – a limited small-batch collaboration between Overeem Single Malt Whisky and three outstanding Tasmanian breweries.
Each release begins with beer aged in Overeem whisky casks, before those same casks return to finish the whisky, creating layered and distinctive flavour profiles shaped by both beer and spirit.
The series will launch across three immersive brewery events featuring guided tastings, collaborative insights, and exclusive bottle releases.

Cherry Porter Finish
21 May | Hopfields Brewery
The series begins in May with a vibrant and fruit-forward collaboration with Hopfields Brewery in Margate. This special event features our brand-new Overeem ‘Cherry Porter Cask’ Finished Whisky, paired alongside a rich Hopfields Cherry Porter aged in Overeem casks. The result is a beautifully integrated expression, where tropical bourbon notes meet chocolate, malt and subtle cherry sweetness.
Big Old Stout Finish
24 June | T-Bone Brewery
In June, the series moves to our neighbours at T-Bone Brewery in Huntingfield, showcasing a bold and robust pairing. The Big Old Stout Finish Single Malt draws deep influence from the brewery’s signature stout, delivering notes of espresso, cacao, with a raspberry twist on the finish. The progressive tasting will start at T-Bone, followed by a visit to Overeem Distillery for the final whisky and beer pairing.
Family Stout Finish
17 July | Spotty Dog Brewery
The final event in July takes place at the picturesque Spotty Dog Brewery at Prince of Wales Bay. This release highlights one of Overeem’s most popular styles, the Stout Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky, paired with Spotty Dog’s Family Stout. Set against a stunning waterfront backdrop, this closing event will bring together the full expression of the Beer Cask Series – rich, warming, and deeply collaborative.
